A Wonderful Poem

Being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness comes as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all.
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of furniture.
Still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.

Happy New Year!

It’s a new year and I can’t wait to see what 2005 has in store for me. I’ll be 26 years old on the 16th and I have so much to be grateful for. I don’t set any New Year’s resolutions because I believe in making changes at that moment. In this moment, I want to become a more intense person. I vow to indulge in every moment so that I never look back with any regrets. I have learned, experienced and grown so much in past year, that I all I can do is anticipate what’s next. I am thankful for these experiences because they have brought me one step closer to discovering my way in the maze of life. Next week, I am packing up and moving back home to Cleveland. I have mixed emotions as I’ve grown to love the hustle and bustle of Chicago. I look forward to spending time with my family and friends over the next few months before I embark on my next journey at business school.
