It's Official - Stanford GSB

I arrived in Cali early this afternoon with mixed emotions. The reality of me being here has yet to set in. My roommate is as cool as I expected her to be and I spent most of the day shopping at Wal-Mart and Target for stuff for my luxury condo (ha) at Schwab.

Now I'm sitting in my room attempting to unpack and fight the exhaustion that has set. I am home sick for the first time in my life. I'm really going to miss my friends and family. I feel like I'm in a different country. California is definitely unique in many ways, and the distance is only amplified by the time difference. I basically have to talk to everyone before 9:00 PM PST which is when I will just be winding down. I'll be up for hours while the Midwest & East Coast will be sound asleep.

There's so much to do over the next few days like get my ID, parking pass, pick up my car, set up my room. The QPEP starts on Thursday, which takes up most of the day. Well, I'm off to try to get some rest on my first night in my new room.
